Modern Marimba raises $3,600 through the 2022 Giving Challenge

This year’s Giving Challenge presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota is giving big grassroots energy.

This 24-hour day of online giving in Sarasota inspired 31 donors who believe in Modern Marimba’s mission for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in music.

Thank you to everyone who believes in us, whether you donated, shared our post, or continue to follow our journey. It keeps us humble as we work towards honest healing through the arts.

Here is a recap of our 21/22 season, which is coming to a close:

Commissioned two new works for marimba that will be premiered next season along with a few new commissions we didn’t have a chance to perform this year.

Performed five in-person concerts.

Produced three virtual programs.

Purchased our first marimba which will be available for students in our educational program!
